Professor Karen M. Haberstroh receives New Clinical Investigator Award

Professor Karen M. Haberstroh is the recipient of this year's New Clinical Investigator Award from the Society of Physical Regulation in Biology in Medicine. The award recognizes outstanding research with strong clinical potential in the area of cell and tissue regulation. Professor Haberstoh investigates the effect of mechanical forces on bladder cell activity in both health and disease. The Society of Physical Regulation in Biology and Medicine is comprised of biologist, physical scientist, physician, surgeon, engineer, and industrial members dedicated to understand how physical processes regulate cell and tissue activity, and how this understanding can be applied to benefit medicine.
