The IEEE Board of Directors, at its meeting on November 18, 2001, elected Professor George R. Wodicka an IEEE Fellow effective January 1, 2002. Each year, following a rigorous evaluation procedure, the IEEE Fellow Committee recommends a select group of recipients for one of the Institute's most prestigious honors, election to IEEE Fellow, the highest grade of membership in IEEE. Professor Wodicka was cited for his contributions to biomedical acoustic research a nd its application to clinical diagnosis and therapy.
