David Curry Promoted to ECN Software Support Specialist

Dave Curry, formerly the ECN operations coordinator, has been promoted to software support specialist. This promotion does not represent a drastic change in duties for Dave, but is more software specific and allows him to concentrate on what he does best.

In his new position, Dave is responsible for system software maintenance, installing new software, updating commercial software packages, and writing new system software. Dave works with such commercial software packages as IMSL, Berkeley ISP, VAXIMA, SMP, INGRES, and UUCP.

Dave has been with the ECN since 1981 when he worked as a student, becoming a full-time employee about two years ago. Dave's involvement with the ECN goes back many years as a user, having first experimented on the system when he was still attending West Lafayette High School.

If there is a problem with any of the software packages mentioned above, users should contact Dave to report bugs or seek help. His new office is room EE 155, phone number 49-43648, and his login is "davy".
