Interleaf TPS 4.1 Installed On Suns

Kent De La Croix

The Interleaf Technical Publishing Software (TPS) has been installed on the ECN SUN machines. Interleaf TPS is a family of versatile tools that lets you create, revise, and illustrate documents directly on the display of a SUN workstation. Its features include advanced word processing, sophisticated graphics capabilities, equations editing, automatic charting, indexing, automatic referencing and cross-referencing, automated revision and layout and more. A mini-database manager built into the software allows users to build multiple versions of a document automatically. Interleaf software automatically hyphenates and spell checks.

Interleaf TPS currently supports printing to PostScript and IMAGEN printers on the SUN3 machines, but only supports printing to PostScript printers (including those IMAGENs which have the UltraScript option) on the SUN4 machines.

Your Site Specialist will have copies of the complete Interleaf TPS documentation set available for loan. This documentation provides complete information on starting up and using Interleaf TPS. Please note: Interleaf TPS is installed on ECN as unsupported software. This means that there will be no ECN expert who can answer questions such as, "How do I ...", "Can I ...", "Is there a way to ...". The documentation should provide the answer to those types of questions. However, if Interleaf TPS does not perform as documented these discrepancies may be reported to Kent C. De La Croix (login: kcd).
