Sending Faxes From Your Workstation Or Terminal

You now have the ability to send ASCII text, dvi TeX, troff, and PostScript files to a remote fax number. No longer do you have to print a hard copy of these files, walk over to a fax machine, fill out a coverpage and scan, then send one page at a time.

This NetFax has the following capabilities:

System users interested in accessing NetFax need to contact their site specialist to get permission. Once a user has been added to the "master access file", this system can be used from any terminal or workstation on the ECN. Ask for ECN document #164 Using NetFax for a complete guide on this fax system.

Note: Macintosh users, you can use this fax system now with any terminal emulation application you do with your Mac. However, a complete (very nice) Macintosh fax system is in the works for Macintosh machines only. Keep your eyes and ears open for it!
