The Engineering Library is pleased to announce its new experimental service from which faculty members can electronically request books for class reserve. With help from Carl Snow, Libraries Network Access Librarian, and Cary Kerr, Libraries Network Coordinator, the library has created an electronic request form and it now goes on the Purdue Libraries Web Page.
This service is available only to the FACULTY of Schools of Engineering and School of Technology. The requested material will be placed on class reserve in the Engineering library. Any requests from non-faculty or requests that don't involve putting books on class research will be discarded.
Since this is an experimental service, the library will continue to take requests in print, with the yellow request form. New faculty members, who have not received computer accounts, are encouraged to get one so you can try this new service.
As information technology changes rapidly, the library has worked hard to create an environment where the faculty can utilize their desk-top computer instead of physically coming to the library. If you have any ideas how we can assist you to make your teaching and research more convenient, please let us know.
