Purdue's Library Web Has a New Look
Carl Snow
http://thorplus.lib.purdue.edu/
When looking for information on the Web,
the last place many people would look is in a library.
But, here at Purdue University,
the library should be the first place to look.
The THOR+ new look is coming to your desktop during January.
The Libraries Web Team has been hard at work creating a new look for THOR+
for the past semester and it is now nearly ready. Barring any unforeseen
problems we will be making the new look public in mid-January
The new look emphasizes our people role right from the beginning having an
image of students and staff in the Libraries. The initial image is a
"clickable" image map so that graphic interface users can point and click.
Lynx users still have full access through a text version that is on the
same page.
A table of contents has been added so that users, from a single page, can
browse through major pages on our web site!
Please take some time and browse our collection of over 300 Web pages.
Send any and all comments to webmaster@thorplus.lib.purdue.edu
The structure now starts with three main categories; The Virtual Library,
Purdue Libraries Information, and Purdue Research and Instruction.
The Virtual Library includes--
- The Virtual Reference Desk
- A rich collection of ready reference materials. Includes
