EE255: Homework and Handouts

Homework will be assigned weekly and is typically due at the beginning of class on Fridays. However, because of the evening exam schedule, at times the homework will be due on other days at the beginning of class.

SPICE homework is due on Fridays at the beginning of class.   All pages should be stapled together with your ph qualified name on each page.    Homework will be returned in class.

Be sure to clearly identify the final answer in each problem by drawing a box around it.  Include units in your answers and only the appropriate number of significant digits.  For SPICE homework problems, no credit will be given for simply handing in the printed output.  Instead, submit the input file listing, a sketch of the circuit with the nodes labeled, and the most relevant data and plots from the output.  The final answers should be clearly marked, and the output should be annotated with comments.

Important Spice Homework

You might choose to use Orcad Capture (with Pspice) on the ECN Windows computers or you will choose to load the Orcad family Lite Edition Software on your own PC. There are alternatives. You could get an account by following the instructions at Get New Account. You can select your affiliation as an EE 255 student. You then choose a login name and a password.
To run spice go to: spice3f4 or Spice2G
Now you enter the login name and the password that you chose on the Nanotechnology Simulation Hub system (not necessarily your career login and password unless you have chosen the Nanotechnology Simulation Hub login and password to match).
