Homework problems will be assigned roughly every two weeks.
For problems that are scored, scoring will be
- 2 points: a correct solution
- 1 point: a reasonable attempt made
- 0 point: no significant effort apparent
Solutions will be provided; as a result, late problem solutions cannot be accepted.
It is very important that you attempt to solve every problem.How to turn in your homework solutions?
First, your solutions to problems assigned should be photocopied, and either the original or the photocopy should be turned in as specified below. Remember, late problem solutions cannot be accepted.
On-campus students:
Hand in your homework solutions in class on the due date. For example, the due date for HW1 is on Class 4. This means that you have to hand in your homework solutions for HW1 in the 4th class (more precisely, before the class starts).Off-campus students:
Mail in your homework solutions before the due date. For example, the due date for HW1 is on Class 4. This means that your homework solutions for HW1 must be postmarked on or before the day you view the 4th class. Email and fax are not acceptable.
