Degree Programs

The BS LSGE degree program is an engineering based curriculum in land surveying and geomatics engineering. The BS LSGE requires four years. The degree prepares students for employment in the broad spectrum of geomatics - land surveying, geodetic/GPS surveying, digital mapping, and GIS.

The BS LSGE degree program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)

LSGE degree candidates take the Fundamentals of Surveying Exam during their last semester. After graduation, LSGE graduates may apply to take the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and pursue Professional Engineering registration as well.

The Dual BS LSGE and BS CE degree program requires five years to complete. Students interested in a general civil engineering degree and consulting engineering practice that emphasizes site planning and engineering should consider this option.

Dual degree candidates take the Fundamentals of Surveying Exam and the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam during their last year (two semesters).
