************************************************************************** - L-THIA GIS ArcView Extension Version 2.3 - Released on Jan. 10, 2003. - To run L-THIA GIS, you need an ArcView 3.x and Spatial Analyst extension. (Note: not compatible with ArcGIS) - You can download the latest version of the L-THIA ArcView extension at http://www.ecn.purdue.edu/runoff/ - Contact Dr. Bernie Engel (engelb@purdue.edu) for more information. ************************************************************************** The "lthia_gis_ext_v23_and_sample_gis_data.zip" contains 5 files, except the README file that you are viewing now. 1) "lthiapc.avx", -- L-THIA GIS extension 2) "lthia_setup.avx", -- L-THIA GIS setup extension 3) "lthianps-yearly-average.exe", -- L-THIA model executable 4) "cn_table.txt", and -- Curve Number (CN) table 5) "lthia_sample_gis_data_and_rainfall_data.exe". -- L-THIA GIS data and rainfall data. (It contains land use and soil GIS data with rainfall data.) ********** all input data must have horizontal units in meters**** User must have data projected to coordinate system such as UTM. Geographic (Lat-long) or State Plane Feet will yield incorrect volumes and loadings. *********************************************** ==> 1) First, you need to move two extensions (lthiapc.avx and lthia_setup.avx) to the extensions folder of ArcView software (probably c:\esri\av_gis30\arcview\ext32). ==> 2) Then, move lthianps-yearly-average.exe to the bin folder (probably c:\esri\av_gis30\arcview\bin32). ==> 3) You need to move cn_table.txt to your working directory that will be used for the L-THIA analysis. This is the directory that will contain the land use and soil GIS data you plan to use. ==> 4) Finally, execute self-extracting "lthia_sample_gis_data_and_rainfall_data.exe" to uncompress L-THIA GIS data and rainfall data if you don't have land use and soil GIS data ready. ---------------------------end of file---------------------------------------
