Farmstead Assessment Program
The farmstead includes the buildings,
livestock, and storage areas that are often near the farm home. There are
many activities that occur on the farmstead that can pose risks to water quality.
An important consideration on many farmsteads is the drinking water well that
the family and animals use. The farmstead assessment program helps to assess
the risk of contamination to water resources, and provides information and
recommendations on improving practices and preventing pollution.
